Preparation of the surface - shot-blasting

SHOT-BLASTING
High quality preparation of steel surface (cleaning) accomplished with shot-blasting. The procedure is performed using solid particles of shot blasted to the metal surface. Shot blast is performed in correspondence with international ISO 8501-1:1988 standard.
LEVELS OF SURFACE PREP
Sa 1 Light cleaning with shot-blasting |
Looked without a zoom, surface needs to be free of visible oil, grease or dirt, also of weakly corrosion and paint. |
Sa 2 Proper cleaning with shot-blasting |
Looked without a zoom, surface needs to be free of visible oil, grease or dirt, also of weakly corrosion and paint. The rest of contamination needs to be strongly added to the surface |
Sa 2,5 Very proper cleaning with shot-blasting |
Looked without a zoom, surface needs to be free of visible oil, grease or dirt, also of weakly corrosion and paint. All of the rests of contamination will appear as light blur and shadow |
Sa 3 Cleaning with shot - blasting till the clean steel |
Looked without a zoom, surface needs to be free of visible oil, grease or dirt, also of weakly corrosion and paint. The surface needs to have one-faced color of the metal. |
CLEANING WITH HAND AND MACHINE TOOL
Preparation of the surface with hand and machine cleaning as abrading, grinding with wire brush, machine grinding and milling
St 1 | The level of cleaning is not applicable because that kind of surface is not adequate for application of paint |
St 2 Proper hand and machine cleaning |
Looked without a zoom, surface needs to be free of visible oil, grease or dirt, also of weakly corrosion and paint. |
St 3 Very proper hand and machine cleaning |
Looked without a zoom, surface needs to be free of visible oil, grease or dirt, also of weakly corrosion and paint. Only the metal needs to get the glow that comes from metal base |
